Woods, Meadows, and Waterfalls
Turning onto the property, you cross green pastures and are immersed in the beautiful trees that give Grateful Woods its name. As you continue towards the main homes, you might see a deer turn and bound off, hear a frog croak in welcome, and listen to the birdsong filter down through leaves. The gentle crash of a waterfall tumbling into a creek travels across the grounds and beckons you to come take a dip in the natural watering hole. We’re fond of starting the day, cup of coffee in hand, by wandering the two miles of groomed nature trails that cover the property, weaving through the trees and across golden meadows. With acres of deep woods and meadows, and a scattering of ponds, clearings, and creeks, you can be sure you won’t run out of new views to marvel at while you’re here.
Amenities
While mother nature has done the heavy-lifting on making this property so magical, we’ve added amenities throughout the grounds to ensure you can take full advantage of the outdoors. Hammocks and firepits dot the property, offering places to gather together or enjoy the peace and quiet. Bocce ball, groomed lawns, and tetherball poles invite fun and games for all ages. Poolside lounging, outdoor grills, and covered dining areas encourage guests to get outdoors and sink into the natural wonders of Grateful Woods.
The Farm
Grateful Woods features a functioning farm where guests can get to know the sweet animals who share the property with them. We have a dozen goats, three Scottish Highlander Cows, and over a dozen horses (who “rough board”) on property. As a guest, you will be able to visit the animals, and even feed them treats.
Horse lovers will be delighted to find a 14 stall horse stable, numerous horse paddocks, a riding ring, round pen for training, and miles of trails within the woods.
